So, I’ve been away for a hot minute due to work and stress with family and I thought for my first post coming back I would finally tackle one of these writing prompts that I see popping up on my homepage every day.
Now as I’ve said before in a previous post, I used to consider myself an avid reader. All through school including undergrad and grad school I always had a book in my hand of some sort. My interests in regard to books are wide ranging but I always have a special place in my heart for things like fantasy, sci-fi, and satire. I invite you all to check out my list below of books that I want to sink into. Who knows, maybe we’ll see them on my reading list in the upcoming months.
1.) The Lord of the Rings by J. R. R. Tolkien
2.) The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini
3.) The Canterbury Tales by Geoffrey Chaucer
4.) Dune by Frank Herbert
5.) The Joy Luck Club by Amy Tan
6.) Thier Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston
7.) The Wealth of Nations by Adam Smith
8.) An Indigenous Peoples’ History of the United States by Roxanne Dunbar-Ortiz
9.) A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess
10.) Red Dragon by Thomas Harris
Now this was my list, tell me ore about yours. Do you have any thoughts on these books? Any recommendations for things to add? Let me know in the comments below and stay tunes for some possible reviews of these books in the upcoming months!
