What movies or TV series have you watched more than 5 times?
Hey everyone! I hope your week is going well and isn’t too stressful. We’ve finally almost made it through to the weekend. So little known fact about me, I’m a huge TV and cinema fan. I binge watch to relax and unwind and to fill the void. With that being said here’s my list of TV series and movies that I’ve watched more than 5 times.
1.) Avatar: The Last Airbender

I would say that this show is probably one of my absolute favorites. I was young enough to watch the show when it was originally airing and since it’s been brought to Netflix, I’ve grown to love it even more with each and every rewatch. This show is so smartly done with so many amazing and dynamic characters. For a show that was originally geared towards children I feel like it doesn’t pull any punches and doesn’t hesitate to dive into such important and mature topics that children aren’t usually presented with but still impact them.
This is a show that has been an absolute comfort for me, and I know that when I put it on that I will begin to feel better about whatever is going on. If you haven’t ever watched this show before, I highly recommend you do.
2.) Supernatural

I’ve always been into the spookier things in life. Supernatural follows two brothers on their journey as hunters as they travel back and forth across the United States. This show blends myths and legends with strait up hilarity. I know that no matter what is going on I can put on this show and immediate laughter and comfort ensues.
3.) Harry Potter Series

I know that I’ve mentioned this before on this blog, but the Harry Potter series has always been a really important part of my life. The book series was the first set of books that really got me into reading and I was one of those kids that was waiting at night online for both the books and movies on premier night. While I’ve grown to feel conflicted about this series given the constant statements of the author, this is still a piece of media that’s important to me and provided me happiness and comfort during many difficult chapters in my life.
4.) My Big Fat Greek Wedding

On girl’s nights my best friend and I would grab some junk food and put this movie on for a rewatch. This movie isn’t the typical “chick flick” it is hilarious. I love that the show really explores a lot of the pressures that women especially can face in navigating the world. The cast is amazing and just a pure delight. Even though I don’t have as many opportunities for girl’s nights, when I put this movie on, I still just experience comfort and joy.
5.) Bojack Horseman

So, I started watching this show when it first came out and religiously tuned in every episode since. This show is so sardonic and satiric and is a great deep dive into Hollywood culture, addiction, and childhood trauma. While this show features so many funny moments it can be just as serious as well. While this show is not an easy one to watch, I highly recommend it.
6.) Bob’s Burgers

Bob’s Burgers is another comfort re-watch for me. While I still keep up with it live, I love to go back and have it on when doing other things like gaming for background noise. The episodes are easy to consume and still funny without trying to be.
7.) Friends

I don’t want to even venture how many times I have watched Friends. I remember when I was really little my mom watching it live and I would sometimes sit in with her. Over the years I would hang out with mom when it popped up as a re-run on TV and enjoy. In college, it was one of those shows that would come up on the free basic cable package that was included with dorming so I got many opportunities for re-watches. Even though I’m now a bit removed from college by this point, I still turn to it when I want some easy viewing.
8.) Parks and Recreation

So, I love anything Amy Poelher, Aubrey Plaza, and Nick Offerman. This show is hilarious and just strait up delivers every episode. I can honestly say that I’ve grown to love the characters over time and truly enjoy this show for what it is.
9.) The Legend of Korra

So, I’ve obviously mentioned that I’m a huge Avatar: The Last Airbender fan but that appreciation also applies to Legend of Korra as well. Growing up, I watched this live on TV and had many opportunities to re-watch once it moved to Netflix. While I can say I do love the original series more, there is still so many things that this show does well like the original.
10.) The Office

The Office combined with Parks and Recreation exist now as depression re-watches as crazy as that might sound. They’re similar in that they both don’t take themselves too seriously while still being funny and for that reason they both go firmly in the comfort-rewatch category.
With all this being said, that finishes up the Top 10 List of Favorite TV and Movies. I hope you enjoyed this list and maybe venture to watch some of these movies and shows if you haven’t already. Let me know what you think in the comments and tell me more about some of your favorite shows.
