Trip Planning Hack

Hi everyone! I hope your April is going well and your spring is getting off to a great start!

I still find myself in full blown wedding planning mode with less than six months to go. Even though that has been stressful especially when combined with my already stressful job, one thing that has been getting me through is knowing that I’m also getting a pretty cool trip out of it.

Now I would say that I would qualify myself as a pretty frequent traveler at this point with a lot of experience under my belt. However, one thing that has really made planning a lot easier is the use of custom lists on Google Maps. Creating custom lists is something that is super easy but really helps to keep things organized when trying to plan a trip to a new locale. Check out an easy article here to find out more on how to create custom lists in Google Maps.

As I’m planning my honeymoon trip, I’ve been creating a custom list on Google Maps to make sure that I can keep track of all the places I want to visit as I discover them. I love that I have been able to use it on my phone as well as share it with my partner so they can add different must visit places to the list as well. It has been great in that it gives us something to still do together without having to take up a bunch of time in one sitting trying to plan things.

What’s great is that when you log in you can then see on the saved locations on the map of the area. I will then be using that map to more strategically plan where I will be staying while ensuring that it’s close enough to my must hit spots to ensure that I don’t spend too much time travelling to my destinations each day. While this hack may seem simple, it’s definitely effective and really helps to organize things especially when coordinating with another person or even a group while saving vital time and reducing overall stress.

Have you heard of this hack before? Do you have any that you want to share with me? Let me know in the comments below!
